Fall Evening on the Snohomish, 5 X 4 inch Monotype by John Stinson, 2009.

John liked what he saw online and sent me email, committing right away to owning a Mariner Halfwood. He brought an aquatint from his art collection and was curious how it had been made as it had a quality similar to his style of painting. He will show his press alongside his art in his Seattle art gallery. Several months later I found the monotype, left, on John's blog--and there are more, plus stories to go with the art.

I created a calendar with images of the twelve presses people got in 2009--and John's Mariner is included in the calendar. You can see the first state of it in the video. A later, better image of John's calendar page is below. You can buy the calendar with PayPal:

I took liberties with John's calendar page, above, taking an image from his poster on his Website, and an image of a tall ship on wood texture.
